Gratitude Latitude

At times
When you don't feel okay
Just count your blessings
So they say
And this is wise
I will agree
But doesn't always
Work for me
Though thankfulness
Is my true goal
And I do feel it
In my soul
To focus there
Can be a chore
When I'm feeling
Really poor
So I'll request
If you don't mind
Please do a favor
And be so kind
As to grant me just
A little latitude
When it comes
To troubled gratitude
