The human mind
Is so inclined
To dream and wonder
Seek and find
That if you put it
In a cage
It will respond
In pain and rage
And if it still
Is not set free
It will constrict
Reluctantly
And make itself
So very small
To fit within
Its prison walls
For something precious
Must be lost
When thought comes
At so high a cost
