Day 152: Green

Green

They say that green's a monster
Full of jealousy and envy
But I consider green to be
Environmentally friendly

Green's calm and peaceful nature
Is the grass and it's the trees
It's the mossy rocks and algae
It's some rivers, lakes, and seas

It's the life force in your salad
It's the energy of spring
The serenity of summer
The pride of recycling

Green's a speedy little lizard
And a slow-paced turtle too
It's a hopping, friendly tree frog
And the still, reflecting dew

Green can be so many things
But it should come as no surprise
The loveliest of greens to me
Is in my sweetheart's eyes
