Monkey Shines

Monkey shines
At climbing vines
And swinging tree to tree
But Monkey pines
For many things
That he can never be
He'd like to be
A marmoset
But he is much too tall
Or a great gorilla
Though of course
He is too small
But Monkey shines
At all the things
That monkeys do the best
And if he could
I'm sure he would
Pass every Monkey test
So Monkey should be happy
(Now please read between
The lines)
And delight in every minute
Every day that Monkey shines
