Stacey and Kevin
Those were your names
And they are still
But it isn't the same

For now you have new names
With one tiny girl
First Mama and Dada
And then in a whirl

Mommy and Daddy
You'll quickly become
No sooner than she's
Finished sucking her thumb

And then Mom and Dad
Most likely you'll be
Both very fine names
I'm sure you'll agree

But these changes come quickly
Oh so very fast
And before you know it
Your present is past

So treasure each moment
Please don't miss a one
For I promise you
There is nothing more fun
Or wondrous, amazing,
No greater delight
Than the moments that come
As each parent's birthright
