What is money really?
Just pieces of paper or metal
So why do we all work so hard for it?
That question is easy to settle.
Money is called currency
A matter of some urgency
Each country must arrange
Some thing folks can exchange
In order to get food
And clothes and toys
And all the other things
That one enjoys
So when you have no money
You've got a problem, honey
'Cause you can't get any stuff
Which makes things very tough
And now you can see why
Almost everyone will try
To keep on earning more
Although their backs are sore
And work is sometimes rough
No one ever thinks their money
Is enough
