Yom Kippur
By Batsheva 9/18/10
On Yom Kippur
We apologize
For the bad things that we did
The things that others knew about
And even those we hid
We're sorry for our secret sins
'Cause though it may seem odd
There's nothing in this whole wide world
That's secret from our God
And we are all God's children
So when you hurt your friends
God cannot forgive you
Until you make amends
Which means saying you're sorry
To the people that you hurt
And God will hear your sorries
Since God's always alert
And then on holy Yom Kippur
God's mercy we receive
If humbly we request it
Yes, that's what we believe
